St. Therese-MTC Colleges Magdalo Site is one of the three (3) academic sites of St. Therese-MTC Colleges since it was established in 1983, as the realization of the vision of the late Atty. Arturo A. Sebastian whose perceptual acumen saw the need for putting up an educational institution that offers quality education and provides prompt training services. Located near the heart of Iloilo City, Magdalo Street, La Paz, ST-MTCC provides an enviable environment conducive to learning and training. This site offers Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation and Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering, both programs are compliant with ISO 9001:2015 and certified by Det Norske Veritas since 1999. This site also offers a Bachelor of Science in Criminology, Associate in Shipboard Services, Junior High School, and Senior High School. The programs offered by ST-MTCC are initiatives born out of the requirements of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the Department of Education (DepEd). Educational curricula are designed and continuously upgraded by the members of the Academic Committee adhering to and meeting the requirements of national and international quality standards. St. Therese-MTC Colleges Magdalo Site is a premier higher education and student-centered Institution. Bachelor of Science in Criminology (BS Criminology)

Bachelor of Science in Criminology (BS Criminology) is the study of crime and the various agencies of justice as they operate and react to crime, criminals and victims.

BS in Marine Transportation (BSMT)

Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT)

Bachelor of Science in Maritime Transportation (BSMT) is a maritime education program that covers the mandatory education and training for Officers in Charge of a Navigational Watch required under Regulation II/1, Paragraph 2.5 of the STCW Convention, 1978, as amended. It covers the study of navigation, cargo handling and stowage, controlling the operation of the ship and care for persons on board and some of the knowledge and understanding under Table A-II/2, as well as fundamentals in radio communications under Table A-IV/2.

BS in Marine Engineering (BSMarE)

Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering (BSMarE)

Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering (BSMarE) is a maritime education program that covers the mandatory education and training for Officers in Charge of an Engineering Watch required under Regulation III/1, Paragraph 2.4 of the STCW Convention, 1978, as amended. It covers the study of marine engineering, electrical, electronic and control engineering, maintenance and repair, controlling the operation of the ship and care for persons on board at the operational level and some of the knowledge and understanding under Table A-III/2.

Associate in Shipboard Services (ASBS)

Associate in Shipboard Services (ASBS)

Associate in Ship Board Services (ASBS) is a 2-year degree program that provides foundation and specialization study in the Hospitality and Tourism Services field through academic, laboratory and field internship experiences. The Program provides the knowledge and skills necessary for the students to ensure efficiency and to prepare the students to work in the Shipboard and Hospitality industry. The program is embedded with two Qualifications under Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) namely Food and Beverage Services (FBS) NC II and Housekeeping NC II.

Junior High School (Grade 7-10) & Senior High School (Grade 11-12)

Academic Track-Pre Baccalaureate Maritime Specialization (Pre-Bacc)

Academic Track-Pre Baccalaureate Maritime Specialization (Pre-Bacc)

Pre-baccalaureate Maritime Specialization is a modified program of a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) strand under the Academic Track. In this specialization, six specialized subjects of the STEM strand were retained and three were replaced with maritime-related subjects. The goal of the Pre-baccalaureate Maritime Specialization is to encourage SHS graduates to pursue maritime higher education. With this, the country will be able to produce more seafarers at the officer level. (Joint DepEd Memorandum and STCW Circular No. 1 Series of 2016)

Academic Track-Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)

Academic Track-Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics strand. Through the STEM strand, senior high school students are exposed to complex mathematical and science theories and concepts which will serve as a foundation for their college courses. STEM refers to any subjects that fall under these four disciplines. Students taking STEM strand in their SHS will have choices to take college degrees on the following programs: Aerospace engineering, Astronomy, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical engineering, Chemistry, Civil engineering, Computer science, Electrical engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical engineering, Physics, Psychology, Statistics.  But it does also limit only of the above college programs.

Academic Track- Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS)

Academic Track- Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS)

Humanities and Social Science Strand is a strand that focuses on Humanities and Social Sciences Subjects. Students who choose this strand will have inclination on programs or courses leading to Education, Psychology, Criminology, Psychology,  Philosophy, Political Science, International Studies, Languages (English and Filipino), Literature, Communications. But still students taking this strand could still have a free choice on other college program. The HUMSS strand in senior high school is designed to effectively prepare students who seek to pursue a college degree in liberal education.

Academic Track- General Academic Strand (GAS)

Academic Track- General Academic Strand (GAS)

General Academic Strand does not specialize in any strand and it covers various disciplines like Humanities, Social Sciences, Organization, and Management. Students are free to choose any college degree program under the three other strands based on the elective they have chosen. This gives students the more opportunity to explore their views and flexible decision when it comes to choosing an undergraduate degree in the future.

Technical Vocational Livelihood (TVL) - HRM Strand

Technical Vocational Livelihood (TVL) - HRM Strand

TVL-HE/Tourism/HRM is designed to develop students’ skills useful for livelihood projects at home. It provides a curriculum that is a combination of core courses required for all SHS strands and specialized hands-on courses that meet the standard hour requirement and competency-based assessment of TESDA. The senior high school TVL track is designed for students who wish to start working right after they graduate from senior high school. These vocational courses give students the skills and knowledge they need to get the certifications necessary for work. The TVL track is ideal for those who intend to work abroad as skilled workers.

In all Academic Program and Training Program Offerings of the College are Certified to ISO 9001:2015 standards and Level III Reaccredited Status by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) will be changed to “ Maritime and Training Program Offerings of the College are Certified to ISO 9001:2015 standards and the BSMT and BSMarE Programs are Level III Reaccredited Status by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA)”.
